The Challenge
Our client is a leading Australian financial services organisation formed through the consolidation of multiple national payment and transaction platforms. As part of its post-merger transformation, the organisation embarked on a complex, tri-partite ERP implementation to unify core financial and operational processes.
Given the criticality of the program and the need to ensure continuity for customers, partners and members, Org was engaged to design and execute an end-to-end testing strategy. This approach provided independent assurance and clear line of sight for the Board and executive leadership, supporting a controlled transition and reducing delivery risk across the program.
Solution
Upon performing a discovery exercise, Org quickly identified that the business was unlikely to get a seamless automated integration between the new HR, GL and Payroll systems in the required timeframes without costly and complex data architecture and integration workflows. As a result of our desire to ensure a smooth transition and accelerate value, we:
- Undertook additional data and integration mapping exercises and were able to propose a number of options to phase the integrations, including temporary semi-manual solutions and leveraging out of the box functionality together with a longer term integration strategy. This provided comfort that the initial outcomes and value could be achieved, members interests protected whilst building a future roadmap that continues to provide greater value
- Brought senior management and their conflicting objectives together and provided a clear decision making framework. The framework was based on the provision of information around value, timeframes, costs and stakeholder impacts. With these frameworks and Orgs counsel, management was able to align their needs and expectations and made decisions in the interests of the organisation, its members and staff

- Leveraged deep data and integration architecture to provide a practical and pragmatic way forward. Ensured that value was created initially, members risks were managed but also provided a roadmap and transition plan that meant the organisation were capable of charting their way forward
